Legacy Walk
The LGBT Legacy Walk is a proposed streetscape project that would incorporate 30-60 bronze plaques along University, Fifth, and Sixth Avenue, as well as Normal Street, and Park Blvd. in Hillcrest. The plaques will celebrate the rich history of the LGBT community, as well as honor the contributions of LGBT individuals throughout local and world history.

The Legacy Project Traveling Wall is on display now at the LGBTQ+ History Exhibition! Learn about the contributions of LGBTQ individuals like Grant Wood, Harvey Milk, Alan Turing, Greta Garbo, Freddie Mercury, Charlie Parkhurst, David Kato, Allen Ginsberg and more!

Impulse San Diego, in partnership with The LGBT Legacy Walk, invites you to an art pop up installation showcasing curated art from local artists. The "Positive Is Beautiful" pop up will showcase art focused around: stigma, people living with HIV/AIDS, the historic global impact of the epidemic, & the future the epidemic. Help us celebrate the talented artists from our local community & pay respect to those we lost.

About World AIDS Day:
Founded in 1988, World AIDS Day is a global health day that takes place on December 1st. It’s an opportunity for people worldwide to unite in the fight against HIV, to show support for people living with HIV, & to commemorate those who have died from an AIDS-related illness.
